Paul Krause is a mixed media artist whose work explores ideas about abstraction, metaphor and process, through craft, material exploration and symbolism.  He earned a Bachelor of Fine Art with an emphasis in ceramics from the University of Colorado at Boulder before continuing his education through a two-year apprenticeship with artist Chris Gustin. Krause has been awarded residencies at Moravian Pottery and Tile Works, Peters Valley School of Craft and Anderson Ranch Art Center.  Since 2004, he has maintained an active studio practice in Queens, New York. He has exhibited his work in galleries and museums in the United States and internationally.
